the partyJasmyn since March has been working as a Mailroom Supervisor at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago. It has been a good experience. She loves the fact that she gets both American and Chilean holidays off. It has been good to have a steady income, have health insurance, and to have a steady schedule to be able to plan better. Her work is easy-going now that she´s learned the ropes and she enjoys greatly the daily trip to the downtown post office. The conversations with the different motorpool chauffeurs are engaging. She also often gets to share her faith in Christ or speak from what she´s learned in the Bible with them.
The first month at the Embassy came at a time of many activities which made work a blast. She was invited out to several lunches, there was a wine and cracker spread presentation by the Embassy´s store at the last hour of work, she discovered that they even do aerobics classes and have a gym too, she went with Rafa to the Easter Egg Hunt at the Ambassador´s home, and many other activities.
Above are some pictures at her former supervisor´s home for a Mexican meal.
