So much time has passed
There is so much to share!
Matías has settled into a life of military crawl (not quite on his knees yet), walker, jumper, putting everything into his mouth, throwing toys to the ground to see how they fall and the sound they make, giggling, babbling, and making friends at day care.
Matías is now 8 months old, almost 9! He is so so cute now. His typical face now is the shocked face with his mouth hanging open as he looks around at his surroundings and tries to see how things work. Mom says he´s catching flies.
He loves day care. He loves being with the kids and all the action. In fact, he usually only gets in a 20 minute nap there because he´s always worried about what he´ll miss if he falls asleep. : ) He tries to catch up for lost sleep on drives in the car during commute to work and back home though.
Matías loves people, loves to watch conversations and is always eager to see if he can get a smile or attention from anyone he meets.
Matías, however, was a little leary of his cousin Valeria when we went to Coyhaique to visit. She´s one years old and was constantly pulling on him and sticking her fingers in his face and ears so whenever she came near he´d look up at mommy or daddy with a pleading look on his face and whimpers of "please, save me, here she comes again!"
Coyhaique was very wonderful trip that we took to see family over the Chilean independence day holidays in September. It was Matías´s first plane ride and he did quite well even with some pre-nasal congestion!
Rafa is getting close to the end of school! He has yet just to turn in his thesis and have it presented. The actual graduation is held next year but the school year ends in Dec. He has many projects he is working on and they are doing really well. We are justing waiting for them to recuperate the investment made, but all are regarding the dental field so he is confident in what he´s doing. He even has two dental offices set up with all the equipment needed, one for work and one to rent out to other dentists.
Jasmyn keeps afloat with home and work and church life. She still is working in the Mailroom at the USEmbassy.
In the next few days, hopefully, we´ll have up more pics and photos of late.
Many blessings in Christ!
the Guarin family
