Youth camp in Vallenar, Chile

Spent a week of vacation as camp counselors for 13-20 year olds (January 21-26th, 2008). It was the best rewarded time spent on vacation. They wore us out, but it was great to share and laugh with them, to share Christ´s love and salvation, be an open ear and heart. 101 kids went to this camp and they were all locals from the area (a desert region close to the coast). Many thought Jasmyn was German since some German missionaries were there helping too, and especially surprised to find that we were married! The girls in Jasmyn´s tent starting calling Rafa, papa Rafa and Jasmyn, mama Jasmyn. :) We were outside all day and sure got a tan, and sunburns too. Jasmyn´s freckles really came out.
