Rafael & Jasmyn

Two young hearts in their third year of marriage. "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ... Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." Ephesians 5:1-2, 21

Our trip to the US

What a blessing it was for Rafa and I to take two weeks away from the everyday in Santiago and see family, breath fresh air and enjoy summer in the middle of winter.

We so much enjoyed meeting for the first time family members on Grandpa Cox´s side out in Ohio. And the hospitality and warmth staying at the Brotman´s tree farm in Great Aunt Dorothy´s home was wonderful.

The only drawback was the mosquitos that seemed to want to eat poor Rafa alive in Ohio.

After Ohio we flew out to CA to stay a week at "home" - Mom and Wayne´s house in San Jose. How wonderful. So good to see everyone and relax. Mom showered us with baby gifts as well as our good family friends! We brought back a whole 2 suitcases full of baby stuff! Too bad we don´t know if it is a boy or girl yet because there sure was some cute clothes if you did.

Without any troubles we made our way back to Santiago.

Now we are getting the apartment ready for a baby room. Moving things around and buying pieces for the room, picking out material for curtains, etc. Lots of fun.

Rafa and Jasmyn are both back to routines on Monday, her at the Embassy and Rafa´s first day of classes for the second semester.

We have many thanks to God for his goodness to us not only in this trip, but in providing a way out of the sticky situation Rafa was in for his final exams last semester. Our heavenly Father worked a miracle and now everything is as if there never was a crisis. :) He is so good to us.

Greeting to all family and friends, enjoy the pics.

We will have updates soon. Should have another ultrasound in a week or two.
